Son-stroke for Karunanidhi: Alagiri says DMK will bite dust

Madurai: DMK patriarch Karunanidhi's renegade son Alagiri made anti-DMK remarks once again. He criticised both Karunanidhi and brother Stalin in the poll-bound state of Tamil Nadu.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Alagiri criticised Stalin and his family members for allegedly interfering in the party affairs. He remarked that the ruling AIDMK would definitely win in the coming Assembly elections and his father’s party DMK would bite the dust . He said the DMK candidates would lose their security deposits.

Bugged by the continuous attack from his elder son, who had already been suspended from the party, DMK chief Karunanidhi asked people not to give weight to Alagiri's comments. Even Alagiri's acolytes are upset over his comments. However, Alagiri justified his comments saying that he has a right to criticise the actions of the DMK chief as he had done a lot for the party.
