Soak pits must for building new houses in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Bonthu Rammohan has said that permission for new houses and its tap connections would not be given unless the houses have a soak pit for ground water recharge.

Mayor Rammohan inaugurated water conservation program by digging a soak pit in Somajuguda press club on Saturday. He said that the GHMC will construct huge reservoirs in the city to meet the drinking water needs of Hyderabad.
