Small Rainfall Gives Big Sigh Of Relief To Vijayawada People
Vijayawada: The sudden downpour on Thursday gave a sigh of relief to Vijayawadites making the temperatures subside.
The city was reeling under scorching heat even during the monsoon and weather remained torrid.
From last few weeks people are experiencing humidity due to an intense dry spell. Even though extended summers are not new to people, the weather was unbearable as the maximum temperature remained at 38-39 degree Celsius in the last one week
“The little rain on Wednesday night and Thursday brought great relief,” said one of the residents.
Dry spell also continued during the days of Krishna Pushkarams and students lamented that the holidays given in view of Pushkarams were affected as they couldn’t go out during the 12-days due to the searing weather.

“As per our assessment an average maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius will be recorded till the first week of September,” said an IMD officials.
