Six Go Missing as Car Swept Away in Swollen Rivulet

In a tragic incident, six persons, including five children, went missing on Saturday after the car in which they were traveling in, was swept away by the strong currents of the Pilli Vagu rivulet in Karegaon village of Pitlam area of Nizambad.

The car driver managed to escape from the current. The ill-fated victims were from Medak and were on their way to Pitlam.

The police have launched a search for the missing people. According to the locals, there was one woman and five children. There are twins - Gnana Hasmita, Gnana Samita - and a ten-month old baby Deepaksha in the car. Further details are awaited.
