In the wake of financial fraud allegations, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has severed ties with luxury jewellery brand Nirav Modi.
After the Celebrity Jeweller Nirav Modi was exposed to have created a fraud to the tune of Rs 1100 crore to the Punjab National Bank, Bollywood celebrities Priyanka Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra are planning to part ways with Nirav Modi.
The two actors, who are the brand ambassadors of Nirav Modi jewellery are looking to end the contract of the brand endorsement. There were also rumours that the Quantico actress had sued Modi as she has to end the agreement with the luxury brand.
However, PeeCee's spokesperson cleared the rumours saying the actress has sought legal opinion on this.
"There are speculative reports that Priyanka Chopra has sued Nirav Modi. This is not true. However, she is currently seeking legal opinion with respect to terminating her contract with the brand in light of allegations of financial fraud against Nirav Modi," the spokesperson said in a statement.
Actress Priyanka Chopra, the global brand ambassador for Nirav Modi, is seeking legal opinion to terminate her contract now that the jeweller has been accused of committing a major banking fraud.
Sidhath Malhotra, who's also the brand ambassador, is planning to do the same.
