YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister Sharmila's 'Maro Praja Prastanam' Padayatra has sent ripples among major parties in Andhra Pradesh and triggered wild celebrations among YS Rajasekhara Reddy and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's followers and supporters across the state.

All roads seemed to lead to Idupulapaya with thousands of vehicles as well as bus services ferrying followers from all corners of the state to support the Padayatra. Sharmila embarked upon padayatra from Idupulapaya on Thursday morning. Cheering slogans of 'Jai YSR', 'Jai Jagan', 'Jai Vijayamma' and 'Jai Sharmila' filled the air as scores of fans reached the venue, carrying banners and portraits. Supporters from various parts of the country came to Idupulapaya to give the YSR Congress party's leaders, especially Sharmila a hearty welcome.

Sharmila reached Idupulapaya, along with YSR honorary president and mother YS Vijayamma, her sister-in-law and Jagan's wife, YS Bharathi and other family members in the morning to pay floral tribute to YSR and seek his blessings before starting off her walkathon. A sea of humanity, including the local leaders, supporters and volunteers gave them a rousing reception. Local leaders too thronged the venue.

Huge cutouts and banners of YSR and Jagan decked up the roads. Huge pictures of the father-son duo were erected on all roads leading to the venue. Each one wished Sharmila success for her 'Maro Praja Prasthanam'.
