Shanker Rao writes to HC for action against police

Former minister and senior Congress leader P Shanker Rao writes yet another letter, this time to the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Shanker Rao complains to the Chief Justice of AP that during the Telangana march the police had entered the Osmania University campus without proper permission.

Recalling a court judgment barring police to enter the university campus without the permission of the Vice Chancellor, Shanker Rao said that during the Telangana march the Vice Chancellor had not given any such permission to the police. This is a blatant violation of the court order, he said and wanted the High Court to initiate stringent action against the State police.

The former minister supported the Telangana Congress MPs plan to move a privilege motion in the Lok Sabha against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for mishandling of the Telangana march and ill-treatment to the members of Parliament.
