Selfie Craze Turns Tragic; 2 Youth Drown In Reservoir In Kadapa

Kadapa: A selfie moment turned tragic at YSR Kadapa after a 19-year-old boy slipped into the lake and his other friend went missing. The deceased is identified as Challa Guru Prakash and police are searching for Sunil Achari, the other boy who went missing.
SI Mahesh Naidu said that five youths from Tummala community went to Annamacharya Project near Badanagadda village of Rajampet mandal to witness the Pirla festival. Prakash and Sunil standing on the edge of the reservoir were trying to take selfie, while other friends looked on. The duo slipped and fell into the river. The panicked friends rushed to alert the people. However, the help arrived too late.
The body of Prakash has been fished out; while search is on to find Sunil's body.
