Seer predicts scant rainfall, excessively hot summer

Visakhapatnam: Visakha Sharada Peetham’s pontiff Swarupanandendra Saraswati has expressed concern over the demeaning of the Hindu scriptures and religion in the name of secularism.

The head of Sharada Peetham stated that ‘Maha Kumbhabishekam’ (The consecration of an idol by pouring water upon it from the sacrificial pots with appropriate manthras) will be held from February 14 to 18 in Pendurti Sharada Peetham.

The seer predicted that 2016 would see lesser rainfall and more heat than the previous year. He also said there could be several earthquakes and floods this year. The public representatives are not showing any interest in the practice and implementation of traditions and dharma(righteousness), he said.
