Security Personnel Stop Minister Kamineni From Traveling on Karakatta Road

Mild tension prevailed on the Krishna river embankment road near Undavalli when the security personnel prevented Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas and four other MLAs from going to Assembly on that route. They stopped the vehicle saying that the road is close to CM Chandrababu's camp office and that they would not be allowed.

The gunmen of the minister and other MLAs entered into heated argument with the security personnel but to no avail. As a result, Minister Kamineni and the four MLAs had to wait on the road for a good 15 minutes, before reversing their vehicles and taking an alternative road.

The locals in the villages abutting the Krishna river embankment are also finding it very difficult to commute on the road as the security personnel are obstructing their movements citing CM's security. In an earlier incident, the police had stopped senior MLA from TDP, Gowthu Syamsundar Shivaji from going to the assembly. In protest against this, he had even staged a sit-in on the embankment for over an hour.
