Sachin Tendulkar Reacts To Ball Tampering Controversy

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has responded on the recent Ball Tampering incident, in the Cape Town test between South Africa and Australia. It is known that Captain Steve Smith and Vice-captain David Warner have been handed a one year ban, along with a 9-month ban to Cameron Bancroft, who has implemented the leadership group’s plan to use sandpaper to change the ball’s shape. The legendary has appealed the cricket community to let alone the players and give some space, following their public apologies over the shocking incident.

“They are regretting and hurting and will have to live with the consequences of their act. Spare a thought for their families as they have much to endure along with the players. Time for all of us to take a step back and give them some space,” read Sachin’s tweet.

Earlier, Sachin has called the ball tampering incident unfortunate and backed the decision to sanction the players correct.

Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has ridiculed Cricket Australia’s decision to ban the players for one year.

England batsman Kevin Peitersen has felt sorry for Steve Smith, Warner and Bancroft following their ban.
