Lightning strike hits commuters hard

Hundreds of buses stayed put in their respective depots in Secunderabad region on Thursday. The lightning strike was in protest against the suspension of a couple of employees a few days ago.Demanding that the suspension be revoked, unions went on lightning strike. Thousands of commuters remained stranded as public transportation went off roads in the area. Taking advantage of the situation, auto-drivers and private vehicles have jacked up their fares. RTC workers from Secunderabad region's Raniganj 1,2, Kushaiguda, Chengicharla, Hakimpet went on strike
