Roja bats for anganwadi workers

YSRCP has strongly criticised the AP Government for ignoring the welfare of anganwadi workers.

Speaking at the Media Pointon Friday, YSRCP MLA PK Roja said that the ill-treatment of anganwadi workers show the Government's attitude towards the womenfolk in general. She asked why the Government was not coming forth on the issue of giving wage increment to the anganwadi workers.
Roja recalled that both late YSR and Kiran Kumar Reddy had increased the wages of the anganwadi workers, but Chandrababu, who was in power for nine long years, is not effecting a pay hike.
"Neighbouring TRS government has effected a hike in Telangana state. Why is the AP government dragging its feat?" she asked.
