Revanth Reddy granted conditional bail

Hyderabad: In a major relief to beleaguered TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, High Court here granted a conditional bail with Rs five lakh surety.

The judge granted bail with the condition that the MLA confines himself to his Kodangal constituency. The court also ordered the release of two other accused, Sebastian Harry and Uday Simha, on bail. Justice Raja Elango, who had reserved his order on June 26, pronounced it on Tuesday.
He directed them to surrender their passports, not to leave the city and to appear before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) whenever summoned. A court dealing with ACB cases on Monday extended judicial custody of the accused till July 13.

ACB had arrested Telugu Desam Party (TDP) deputy leader in Telangana assembly Revanth Reddy on May 31 while he was handing over bribe of Rs.50 lakh to nominated legislator Elvis Stephenson to induce him to vote for TDP-BJP candidate in Telangana legislative council elections. Revanth's two aides were also arrested by the ACB in a trap laid on a complaint by Stephenson.
