Revanth, Sandra Voices in Cash-for-Vote Scam Confirmed
  • ACB is now trying to take Chandrababu's voice sample

Hyderabad: The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has confirmed that the voices of TDP MLAs Revanth Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and the middleman in the sensational cash-for-vote deal Sebastian, belong to the accused. Revanth is the main accused in the scam which was exposed in a sting operation when he was giving cash of Rs50 lakh to Anglo-Indian nominated MLA Stephenson to lure him to vote in favour of TDP candidate in the Telangana MLC election on June 30.

Apart from the hidden camera that recorded the episode clearly - Revanth entering a house where Stephenson was waiting, explaining the details of the deal saying he was acting according to the instructions of his 'boss' and taking out bundles of Rs500 notes from a bag saying this is only an advance and the balance Rs4.50 crore will be paid as per the arrangement. After being arrested red-handed, Revanth came out on bail and the ACB is now trying to gather more evidence on his role.

Revanth's speeches in the Assembly were taken as standard to compare his voice that was recorded on video and Sebastian's HTC mobile phone. A similar testing was done in the case of Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and both the voices were confirmed. The report was submitted to the ACB court dealing with the case on Thursday.

In the process of proving the role of TDP president and AP chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's involvement in the case, ACB is now trying to take samples of his voice after court's permission.
