Results of municipal elections only after May 7

  Supreme Court ruled that the results of the municipal elections in the state should be declared only after May 7.

The Apex court observed that these results may affect the outcome of the elections for assembly and Lok Sabha.

“Why are you implementing different attitudes in Panchayat and municipal elections?” asked the court. The court faulted the state election commission for changing its arguments more than once.
