RBI Releases ₹200 Note; Here’s How It Looks

The base color of the note is Bright Yellow

The Reserve Bank of India on Friday released ₹200 note in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series, bearing signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India from select RBI offices, and some banks. The first batch of notes was released in Delhi and Mumbai and is available in some select ATMs. The note will be available in Hyderabad and other cities in couple of days.

The new denomination has Motif of Sanchi Stupa on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage. The base color of the note is Bright Yellow. The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall color scheme, both at the obverse and reverse.
