Rat runs around tree, devout gather and pray in Karimnagar

A rat circumambulating a mango tree in a temple created a sensation and made devout throng in thousands.

This strange incident took place in Basavusaipeta in Karimnagar district. The village is known for the famed temple of Yellamma. 

The rat has been circumambulating the tree for hours together making noisy sounds. Taking them to be rat's chanting of Lord's name, people rushed to the temple. Soon, massive crowds milled at the site and the scene now resembles a great congregation. (Also Read: GHMC Commissioner! Clean thy shelf!)
