Rangasthalam, Bharat Ane Nenu Records Till Now!

Mega Power star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam which is directed by Sukumar released on March 30. Before Rangasthalam, Ram Charan's career best film was Magadheera which made a worldwide gross of Rs 150 Cr. Rangasthalam has shattered all the records set by his previous films including biggest hit Magadheera. Rangasthalam has emerged as the blockbuster hit of 2018.

• On its opening day itself, the film earned a whopping Rs 46 Cr at the worldwide box office. Coming to Chennai box office, Rangasthalam opened with a bang raking in Rs 25 Lakhs which was a first. But now, the record has been broken by Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu.
• Another record is that Rangasthalam became the fastest film to reach the $2 million milestone and become the highest grossing film in USA. Not only that, Rangasthalam also beat records set by other films like Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu, Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No.150, Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi and Nithiin's AA. It is now the third highest grossing telugu film in USA after the Baahubali franchise.
• Rangasthalam has also surpassed Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No.150 by earning Rs 100 Cr share worldwide.

Rangasthalam is directed by Sukumar and stars Samantha, Jagapathi Babu, Aadhi and Anasuya in lead roles.

Bharat Ane Nenu Records Till Now

After Rangasthalam other big-ticket films released. One of them is Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu. We need not tell you, how many records Bharat Ane Nenu has created till now. The film has beaten most of the records except Prabhas' Baahubali series and Rangasthalam.

• Bharat Ane Nenu is the fastest film to join the Rs 100 Cr Club at the domestic box office and touch the $2 million dollar mark at the foreign box office by opening weekend collections.
• Bharat Ane Nenu was the first Telugu film to have 2000 premiere shows in the USA. Bharat Ane Nenu was a hattrick film after Athadu and Pokiri to Great Indian films overseas distribuotrs who bought the rights of the film.
• Other big records in non-telugu market is Bharat Ane Nenu's phenonmenal business at the box office till date. Bharat Ane Nenu got a massive opening with a whopping Rs 27 lakhs at the chennai box office on its first day and dethroned Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathvaasi and Ram Charan's Rangasthalam.
• Bharat Ane Nenu also got the biggest release in Australia. It not only surpassed only Telugu film Rangasthalam but also broke Vijay's Mersal record and listed among top five films.
• The film has crossed $4 million at the overseas box office in its extended second week run.

Bharat Ane Nenu is directed by Koratala Siva and boasts of a stellar star cast incuding Kiara Advani, Prakash Raj, Sharath Kumar in the lead roles.

Finally, Mahesh-Charan are ruling the Tollywood box office right now with both their films being declared blockbuster hits in the first quarter of 2018. Both Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu are must watch films this summer. Though, a pirated copy of Bharat Ane Nenu got leaked it failed to affect the box office figures as the action has to be watched on the big screen.
