The movie would be released pan-India on April 28 except in Karnataka

Hyderabad: Cinephiles are waiting for the big day to watch the SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Conclusion on big screens. The movie would be released pan-India on April 28 except for one state. The people of Karnataka won't be able to watch the magnum opus as the State government has put a ban on it.

When quizzed on the issue, Rajamouli broke his silence and said, "We learned that whatever comments Mr Sathyaraj made it was nine years back. And after that, about 30 films of his were released in Karnataka. Baahubali 1 released. No one had problems with that. And suddenly, raking up the issue at this point in time is not right. The ban is not going to affect Sathyaraj in anyway as he took his remuneration for the role he played. We hope people will understand and resolve the issue."

Rana Daggubati, who plays Bhallala Deva too was vocal on the issue and said that the actor made those comments few years back and the first part of Baahubali was released in Karnataka , which was a big hit, adding, activists shouldn't rake up an issue unnecessarily.

It may be recalled that fringe Kannada groups were miffed with Tamil actor Sathyaraj's controversial remarks on sharing of Cauvery river water. An activist named Vatal Nagraj said that Kannadigas are hurt for his anti-Karnataka remarks during the Cauvery water dispute. The activist said that the actor has used inflammatory language against Karnataka people and asked the actor to apologize.
