Hyderabad: Here are the five major developments related to the incessant rains in Hyderabad city. The city is battered by rains for the fifth day running.

School Bus Trapped in Water: Water enters into Dharaninagar Colony in Kukatpalli. A school bus belonging to Raghava Concept School got trapped in water. Onlookers rescue 40 students trapped inside the bus. They said despite warnings, the driver took the vehicle into the water.

Army comes to the rescue of rain-hit Hyderabad: Four columns of Army have been deployed in areas of Begumpet, Nizampet, Hakimpet and Alwal of the Greater Hyderabad. The Army has also setup a control room at GHMC office and in coordination with the GHMC and NDRF officials are closely monitoring the situation in ground round the clock. Army columns are already on track to provide relief material and medical aid in the slum areas of Alwal.

Four columns of Army have been deployed in areas of Begumpet, Nizampet, Hakimpet and Alwal of the Greater Hyderabad.

Osmania Univ suspends classes: As per the announcement of the Government, the classwork is suspended Friday and Saturday in all the colleges under Osmania University due to incessant rains.

48 dilapidated buildings demolished in 24 hours: In view of the incessant rains, the GHMC officials have demolished 48 old and dilapidated buildings on Friday alone. With this, the number of dilapidated buildings demolished so far during this season is 416.
