Rachabanda programme or spot for settling scores?

Rachabanda programmes were initiated to give the public an opportunity to have a dialogue with their representatives, but it has now metamorphosed into a mud slinging contest. The programme has been hijacked by the anti and pro-bifurcation supporters who use it to play the blame game.

Recently, the Telangana Congress leaders successfully employed strategies to interrupt the CM's tour in the region. Now, the T Congress Leaders have also pointed out that the Rachabanda Programmes have increasingly started looking like Congress party programme devoid of CM's messages.   

Pro-Telanagana supporters disturbed the programme by tearing flexi banners of the CM put up by the Rachabanda programme volunteers on Monday at Nakirekal in Nalgonda district.
Few youth Telengana Congress workers also tore the flexis and banners of the CM, displayed on the stage. The situation turned tense when the police tried to stop them.
However, the Telengana Congress workers managed to remove the flexis of the CM and replace them with Deputy CM Damodara Rajanarasimha. District Collector T Chiranjeevulu and MLA Lingaiah also attended the programme.
Meanwhile, Tribal Welfare Minister P. Balaraju also expressed his displeasure against the CM. He pointed out that the CM was taking decisions related to Balaraju's portfolio without his consent.
Accusing CM of showing discrimination against him, Balaraju went on to add that discrimination against Dalits has been the norm in Kiran's Government.  
Previously, Balaraju skipping the CM's Rachabanda programme at Chodavaram in the district on Friday had raised eyebrows, making it clear that the rift between the two is indeed widening. But when reporters questioned Balaraju on his absence, he had excused himself saying that he was not invited for the event and was unaware about the location of the Rachabanda programme.
