‘Puri Jagannath Is A Good Friend’: Vikram Goud Rubbishes His Involvement In Drugs Scandal
Hyderabad: Congress leader Vikram Goud, who faced severe embarrassment after he stage-managed an attempt on his life on July 28, has again hogged the headlines after a news report making rounds that Tollywood director Puri Jagannath met him in hospital.
A day after he was released from Chanchalguda jail on bail, Vikram Goud told media persons that film maker Puri had called on him in the hospital as a friend and said no othe rmotives should be attributed to this visit.
When the SIT investigation into the drugs scandal was at its peak, Puri Jagannath's meeting with Vikram Goud raised several doubts. Subsequently, rumours floated around that Vikram too had some level of involvement in the drugs scandal. However, the Congress leader rubbished the reports.
He further said that he does not own a pub in Hyderabad, but owned a restaurant.
