Provide security to ZPTCs : HC to SP

The AP High Court ordered the Nellore SP to give protection to all the ZPTC members in the district till the election for the post of Chairperson of Nellore ZP is completed.

Some ZPTC members had filed a petition in the High Court asking it not to arrest them till the election on July 20. Responding to this, the division bench of the court passed the above orders.

High Court ordered the SP to give protection to ZPTCs from SP office to ZP hall.

Advocate Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy informed the media that the court directed the police not to arrest the ZPTC members till the election is completed.

In its order, the High Court clarified that all the ZPTC members have to sit in their allotted seats on the day of election and those members who disobey the order will be disqualified from voting.
