Prohibitory orders imposed around AP Secretariat

  Police have imposed prohibitory orders near Andhra Pradesh Secretariat here for two months with a view to maintain public order, peace and tranquillity.

Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma, who issued the order under relevant sections of the Hyderabad City Police Act, banned holding of any public meeting, assembly of five or more persons, shouting of slogans, making of speeches, processions and demonstrations, picketing and dharnas within the area of 500 meters from the Secretariat building.
The order came into force on January 19 and shall remain in effect till March 18, an official release said here today.
