Private bus depots raided

Officials of the transport department on Wednesday conducted a search at the offices of private bus operators at LBNagar.

Sources said the RTA officials checked whether the private bus operators complied with the rules. The private buses transport thousands of passengers to major cities and a number of other destinations daily. During the searches, it was found that licenses of some of the bus operators had expired, while some of them were operating without mandatory permissions.
