Dera Bassi (Punjab): A video of a school teacher and the principal beating one another in the presence of staff members and students has gone viral. The Education Department swung into action on Wednesday and suspended the teacher while the principal Veena Bassi was transferred.

The high drama was witnessed on Monday Government Model High School at Sundran village. Reportedly, the science teacher Kailash Rani and Veena had differences which resulted in the scuffle. Both of them levelled charges against one another in the presence of Education Secretary Krishan Kumar. The official formed an inquiry committee and took action after the panel submitted report.
