Prime Accused in Call Money Sexual Harassment Arrested

Vizag: One of the main accused in call money sex racket Gudivada Ramakrishna was arrested in Tirupati on Wednesday.

He was then shifted to Vizag for investigation.

Vishakapatnam DCP Trivikram Verma produced Ramakrishna before media after producing him in court and taking his remand on Thursday.

Ramakrishna was absconding after complaints against his illegal money lending activities poured in various places in the state including Vishakapatnam. He was staying in Bangalore with his second wife and came to Tirupati before Vaikunta Ekadasi day to have darshan of Lord Balaji. A police team led by ACP of Madhurawada nabbed him in Tirupati after 5-6 days of manhunt.

The DCP said Ramakrishna had harassed women borrowers for sexual favors when they could pay interest which is exorbitantly high - up to six percent per month. He would move around with private body guards and physically assault his male customers if they can't pay back on time. He is said to be the kingpin of the entire call money racket and the sex angle came to it only because of Ramakrishna's blatant sexual harassment.

He is said to be enjoying huge political support and has several wives.
