Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed a public meeting in Yalamanchili constituency in Visakhapatnam constituency. Earlier today, the people's leader achieved another milestone by crossing the 2,800 km mark in his mass outreach program, Praja Sankalpa Yatra, amid thunderous reception and applause by thousands of people and party workers.

YS Jagan said that he was touched by the love and affection showered on him by the people of Yalamanchili. Due to the pouring rain at the time of his speech, YS Jagan cut short his speech for the convenience of the people.

"In view of the downpour, I do not want to cause trouble to all of you. So I will address three important issues which are pertinent to this constituency." he said.

YS Jagan promised to resolve the problems with respect to the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the Naval Base, and the reopening of the sugar factories in the constituency. "After YSRCP comes to power, I promise the sugarcane employees that all measures required to reopen the local factories would be taken. The factories would be supported by the State government to take them out of losses, even if the Centre does not extend help," he added.

The Leader of Opposition said that women and fishermen in this constituency had complained to him about the problems related to the Naval Base. He observed that the fishermen community led continuous protests in demand for justice to their properties in the Naval Base. During four years of romance with the BJP, Chandrababu Naidu never tried to resolve the issue with the Naval lands, he added.

YS Jagan promised to do appropriate justice to the victims of the property holders in the Naval Base area.

"It was the late Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's dream to provide employment oppurtunities to the poor. It was because of his effort that around 25,000 employees are working in the SEZ here. YSRCP will consult the representatives of the Brandix company to resolve all the problems being faced by the employees, after coming to power. We will ensure that the salaries are increased," he said to the public.
