Power workers' strike postponed to September 16

Employees of AP Power Generation Corporation and AP Power Transmission Corporation who had called for an indefinite strike from tomorrow to protest the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, called off the strike after a meeting with Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.

The workers of Transco, Genco and three power distribution companies are set to launch an indefinite strike from Wednesday night.

It is learnt that the strike will now commence from September 16.
