Power generation stalled at 2 thermal plants

Deepening the power problems further, electricity generation came to a halt at Kothagudem and Ibrahimpatnam thermal power stations on Friday.

Following a technical snag at 11th unit of Kothagudem thermal power plant, power generation of 550 MW was stalled. Similarly, a technical snag reported in the 7th unit crippled the power generation of 500 MW at Ibrahimpatnam thermal plant. Efforts are being made to rectify the technical problem.
