Popular TV Actor Shoots Self, Dies

Upset over not being invited to a marriage function of his releative, popular Hindi TV serial actor Kamlesh Pandey shot himself to death.

Kamlesh, who is quite popular for his cop''s role in TV serial Crime Patrol, had come to Mumbai to visit his sister Anjani Chaturvedi.

Recently, Anjani had married off her eldest daughter and hadn't invited Kamlesh to the wedding. He consumed liquor and began arguing with his sister.

His sister, niece and brother in law rushed into their room and locked the door from inside. Kamlesh asked them to open the door, when they refused to for fear of being shot, he threatened to shoot himself if they did not open the door. In the heat of the argument at around 2 am, he suddenly whipped out a revolver and fired shots into the air.

Then all of a sudden, he shot himself in the chest and collapsed. Shocked relatives immediately alerted the police and called an ambulance. But, before the help could arrive Kamlesh had died.

Kamlesh is a native of Katni and is survived by wife and two daughters.

Besides Crime Patrol, Kamlesh also acted in TV serials like 'Kala Tika,' 'Diya Aur Bati,' 'Tashan e Ishq'' and ''Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.'
