Popular Model Dies In Car Crash

Popular model and actor Abhishek Narula was killed in a freak mishap in New Delhi on Monday. Two other persons travelling with him suffered grievous injuries and are being treated in a local hospital.

Narula, who belongs to Delhi but is staying in Mumbai, had come to Delhi on some personal work. On Monday morning, he and his friends were on their way to Ashokvihar. As they stopped at the traffic junction near Satyavathi College due to red signal, another car plowed into their stationary car, grievously injuring all the three persons in Abhishek's car. While Abhishek died while under treatment, the other two - identified as Ratnadeep and Yogesh - are under treatment.

Abhishek's relatives said that he was in Delhi on an extended Diwali holiday and was on his way to withdraw some money from the ATM. The driver of the car that hit Abhishek's car fled from the spot. A search is on to track him down. The police said that the person took the car on rent and was working as a cab driver.
