Political gossip: Will there be son-rise in AP?

Sakshipost brings you the hottest topics in AP politics. The matter may be true or mere speculation, yet it does provide fodder for gossip.  Here's what we got for you...

In rural regions, people throwing their hand kerchief to reserve a seat before boarding the bus is common. Now, the same habit seems to have carried into politics too.

Leaders in some AP districts are reserving seats in politics for their children too.  We have already seen how Naidu and KCR are trying hard to project their sons as the future face of their respective parties. The same is happening in rural parts of the state too.

Many veteran leaders in the state are planning to field their children as candidates in the upcoming elections. Several MPs and MLAs have already booked seats for their sons/daughters in their favourable regions. Some (MLAs) are even changing their constituencies to offer their seats to the children, while some others are contesting from Lok Sabha seats to accommodate their children.

It's a known fact that leaders of most parties in the state—Congress, TRS, TDP, YSRCP and BJP—who have sons are planning to push them into active politics. Some MLAs' sons are already involved in the party activities while others have managed to join politics with their parent's influence. Some candidates have even made an open declaration about their interest to contest in the elections.

According to a report in a daily, Mahaboobnagar is all set to see a new trend in AP politics. The upcoming elections will see second generation members from at least five families contesting polls. If reports are to be believed, Nagar Kurnool MP, Manda Jagannadham's son Srinath will be contesting from Alampur assembly constituency. Nagam Janardhan has decided to contest from the Mahaboobnagar Lok Sabha seat while he wants to field his son from his Assembly constituency. Many TDP leaders including Devender Goud  are very keen on bringing their offsprings into politics.  As many as five leaders from the district are planning to get their sons into active politics. It will be interesting to watch if their efforts will pay off.

Politicians today are looking forward to seeing their family, may it be the daughter, son or wife, continue their royal legacy.

We bring you the best and the latest gossips in Andhra politics. Stay tuned.
