Police resort to lathi-charge in Tirupati

Tirupati: The police cane-charged students who were protesting opposite a private college in Tirupati. Protesting against private junior colleges conducting classes in summer in the name special classes, students and student organizations have launched a rally in Tirupati. Private junior colleges vying for ranks are conducting classes for Inter students against to the norms of Inter Board, claimed the students. While the students are protesting opposite a junior college, Police requested them calm down and stop the protest. As the students didn't calm down, police cane charged them, creating tension in the area.  Students sat firm on roads continuing their protest despite cane-charge.
