Police Martyr's final journey begins

The final journey of police martyr Juluri Siddhaiah began at about 11 AM.

The brave cop, who took bullets in his pursuit of the terrorists at Arvapally in Nalgonda got a farewell befitting a hero. Amid chanting of Amar Hai slogans and raising of clenched fists by police and public alike, the hero's final journey began. From hoi polloi to high level officials, from very ordinary person to very important person, everyone queued up to pay the last respects to the hero who laid down his life in the cause of the country.
There was lot of heroism in Siddhaiah's last battle. He battled bullets on his first wedding anniversary. When the bullet-ridden Siddhaiah was brought to the hospital, his was just delivered a baby boy moments ago.  His wife Dharani could only see Siddhaiah wrapped in a Tricolour. Siddhaiah suffered critical bullet injuries during an encounter on Monday at Nalgonda’s Arvapally. Siddhaiah, who suffered critical injures in the encounter, was admitted to Kamineni Hospital for treatment. But, his vital organs did not function and the pulse rate and the blood pressure were abnormally low. He suffered four bullet injuries, one of which was in his head.
Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Telangana CM KCR and home minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy called on his on Monday and consoled his family members. Siddhaiah, a native of Kurnool, but shifted to Mahabubnagar some 20 years ago. He is the third among three sons. He joined the police force in 2012 and was serving at Atmakur. The end came at about 4.06 PM on Tuesdayafter a battle with death for four days.
