Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police finally cracked TRS leader Vallabhaneni Srinivas Rao's murder case and arrested six persons from Sanath Nagar on Tuesday.
The TRS leader, who was a resident of Sanath Nagar, was bludgeoned to death by some unidentified persons on November 15. Based on the CCTV footage, the police noticed that one Mirza Haroon Baig was the prime suspect in the case.
Srinivas Rao who used to often pick up an argument with the residents in the locality, had an altercation with a youth named Ibrahim. Following the fight, Srinivas Rao filed a case against him in the police station. Ibrahim told one of his friends - Haroon about the issue. Subsequently, Haroon asked Srinivas to withdraw the case. However, he did not relent. So Haroon decided to kill Srinivas.
On November 15, Haroon, Ibrahim along with his other friends were consuming alcohol at a construction site in Ashok Colony area. When they saw Srinivas's driver Sunil Singh on his way, they called him to enquire about Srinivas. Haroon, along with friend, went to meet Srinivas. Later, Haroon forced Srinivas to join the party at the location. During the drink party, Haroon raised the issue about the case and threatened Srinivas to withdraw his case against Ibrahim.
