Pithani to fight his brother-in-law?

Achanta assembly constituency in West Godavari district is one of the several assemblies that would see relatives fight it out. 

Initially ex Principal of Penukonda Degree College Gubbala Tammaiah was going to contest from here on TDP ticket. He started his campaigning thinking the same. 

However, his brother-in-law and former minister Pithani Satyanarayana deflected to TDP from Congress.   With this, Chandrababu allotted the ticket to Pithani keeping aside Tammaiah. The angered Tammaiah immediately joined YSRCP.
