PIL against Jana's assets admitted in HC

A Public Interest Petition (PIL) was filed against Minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy in the High Court on Wednesday.

Social activist VV Rao in his petition alleged that Jana Reddy had amassed wealth through illegal means and demanded a high level probe to unearth facts. The Petitioner alleged that the minister had earned income illegally to the tune of Rs one lakh crore and invested in power plants in Himachal Pradesh.

Each share of his company was sold at Rs 500 against its actual value of Rs 10. A thorough probe into financial fraud should be initiated under money laundering act, the petitioner requested. The petition is likely to come up for hearing on Monday.
