TDP Vice President and former minister Enugala Peddireddy is looking at Congress party now.

As per the reports, he got an invitation from Congress high command and is now holding talks with the Congress leaders to join the same.

If the grapevines are to be believed, Peddireddy will join the party at the public meeting of AICC president Sonia Gandhi at Karimnagar on April 16.

Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah also requested Peddireddy to join the Congress party.

Peddireddy will soon convey a meeting with his followers in his constituency to get their nod for joining Congress party.

He won from Huzurabad assembly constituency two times in 1995 and 1999. He worked as the minister for tourism and labour too in the state.

He stood by Devendar Goud when the latter floated Nava Telangana Party. Later, it was merged into Chiranjeevi’s erstwhile PRP. Vexed over some things there, he again came back to TDP.

He initially expected a ticket to contest from Ramagundam assembly constituency. But, the seat was allotted to BJP as part of the alliance between both the parties. In these situations, the senior leader has to look at Congress party now.
