Pawan Kalyan Follows Opportunistic Politics: BJP

Hyderabad: Actor Pawan Kalyan follows opportunistic politics and his claims of Jana Sena being founded on the ideals of Peryaar are hollow and misleading, BJP spokesperson Krishnasagar Rao said.

Addressing a media briefing here on Monday, he said the Jana Sena party has a logo and a flag however it does not have an elected body nor direction. Criticising Pawan Kalyan's statements in praise of Telangana CM KCR, the BJP leader reminded the audience about the Jana Sena leader's adverse comments on Telangana martyrs and on the chief minister's family. "The Jana Sena is more like a brokerage firm than a political outfit. It praises KCR in Telangana and Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh. It is not run by elected party representatives but by the actor's fans," Krishnasagar Rao said.

The Jana Sena leader also came under fire from the TRS leaders. Speaking at a press meet, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar said his party is not associated with the Jana Sena's padayatra and does not consider it as a political outfit. "Pawan Kalyan meeting the chief minister is considered as an actor meeting the CM and not a meeting between two political leaders," Prabhakar sought to clarify. He also strongly criticised the Congress party for its comments on Governor ESL Narasimhan and demanded that the party tender an apology to the head of the state.
