Pawan Kalyan will launch a three-phased agitation to achieve special status for the State of Andhra Pradesh. As part of it, he would tour all the districts.

Tirupati: Jana Sena President and actor Pawan Kalyan said he would launch a three-phased agitation to achieve special status for the State of Andhra Pradesh. As part of it, he would tour all the districts and the first meeting would be in Kakinada on September 8. He said he has chosen Kakinada as it was the place where the BJP passed the ‘One Vote Two States’ resolution.

For the first ever time, Pawan Kalyan launched an attack on the BJP and the Congress for playing with the lives of Seemandhra, but spared the Telugu Desam of criticism. While indicating that he would do both films and politics together, Pawan Kalyan said his Jana Sena was not a Modi Bhajan Sena and that Gabbar Singh (his latest filmi avatar) was not a rubber Singh.

The first meeting would be in Kakinada on September 8. Pawan Kalyan said he has chosen Kakinada as it was the place where the BJP passed the ‘One Vote Two States’ resolution.

He slammed the MPs from the State for not stalling Parliament and not raising their voice against the injustice being done to the state. He said Special Status was Andhra’s right and said nothing can be achieved by begging. Pawan Kalyan questioned TDP leaders as to why the AP government is fearing asking Modi.

“Stall the Parliament. Why should over leaders be submissive and beg with the National leaders?” He warned the BJP of serious consequences if special status is not given. He said a senior BJP leader has asked him to merge his party into the BJP.

Referring to recent murder of Pawan Kalyan’s fan, Vinod Royal, in Kolar in Karnataka, he said: “Generally, we heroes don’t have any rift. We are on friendly terms. I want the fans to realise this.”

“But, I chose not to do so as I want to protect the interests of the state. Unveiling his plans, he said after creating awareness on the issue, he would pressurize BJP, TDP and their MPs to raise their voice for special status. If this fails, then we’ll come onto roads to intensify agitation for special status,” he said.
