Partial reprieve for Nag in N Convention Hall case

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday directed the Telangana government to take necessary legal steps in connection with Nagarjuna's N Convention Centre located at Madapur.

After both sides have presented their arguments, the court said that notices should be served to the owner of the premises before taking up any action.
The court also directed to submit details of the Tammudi Kunta Lake after checking its minimum water retaining capacity.
It may be recalled here that Nagarjuna challenged the action of the Irrigation and Revenue officials who surveyed the area around the convention centre without giving prior notice to him.
In the petition, Nagarjuna contended that the survey was illegal and that he had constructed the function hall after taking license from the GHMC. He had purchased the land way back in 1992.
