The parents of Kausika, who lost an opportunity to study at the reputed IIIT due to the negligence of the SSC Board, met Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday. They sought his help in getting justice for their daughter.

Kausika, a native of Alluru in Uyyalawada mandal of Kurnool district, passed out of her SSC examination with 9.5 GPA. On re-verification, three marks were added to her score and the GPA went up to 9.7. However, the SSC Board took inordinately long time to make the necessary changes in the documents, due to which the girl lost an opportunity to join IIIT at Idupulapaya.

On Tuesday, her parents Srivani and Vishnuvardhan Reddy, met YS Jagan during his padayatra and sought his intervention in getting her admitted to the prestigious institution. YS Jagan sought clarifications from Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy and directed him to talk to the officials of the education department. He assured them that the YSRCP would stand by them.
