Parents Kill 13-year-Old Daughter For Moving Closely With Boys

Theedhedu (Nalgonda): In a horrific incident, a 13-year-old girl was killed by her parents for allegedly moving closely with boys in her school. The incident occurred at Theedhedu village of Chintapally mandal in Nalgonda district on Tuesday. To cover up the murder, the parents set her afire and tried to set it up as a suicide.

According to the police, the victim was identified as Radhika, a Class 7 student in the government school in the village. Her father Narsimha had reprimanded her several times for moving closely with the boys in her class. Radhika had repeatedly argued that she was not doing anything wrong.

On September 15, Narsimha saw her with a boy named Ravi after school hours. He immediately called his daughter home and chided her for it. She began arguing with her father. In a fit of rage, Narsimha smashed her head against the wall and strangulated her to death.

Knowing that her daughter was dead, Narsimha and his wife Lingamma panicked and as part of the efforts to cover up the murder, they doused her in kerosine to set her ablaze.

During the investigation, it is learnt that the body was half burnt. The police, who grew suspicious, interrogated victim's parents. The duo had finaly admitted that they had murdered their daughter. A case has been registered against the accused and sent them in remand.
