Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mcuh talked about film Padmaavat featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. The film is courting controversy film since it went on floors. Karni Sena groups have been protesting the film's release and they have called for ban of the film despite Supreme Court allowing to be released.

The film has received mixed reviews from fans and audiences. Padmaavat is a periodic war drama and people have expected it to much grander. It is said to be not up to the mark.

Despite all these, the film has done a good business on opening day. Padmaavat earned Rs 24 crores in first two days at the box office in India. It has been nowhere near Salman's Tiger Zinda Hai which had earned Rs 34 crores on the first day itself. Both the films got solo release but content wise and controversies seem have hit Padmaavat. We hope that Republic Day weekend might help Padmaavat to fetch more numbers.
