OU turns battleground, police use teargas to disperse students

Tension prevailed in Osmania University campus on Thursday when pro-Telangana students pelted stones at the police, as the latter stopped them from taking out a rally supporting the bandh call given by TRS.

Trouble started after scores of students tried to take out a procession from the OU campus to Gun Park, protesting against the reported Rayala Telangana proposal. When students started pelting stones, police lobbed teargas shells to disperse agitating students. Police also took some students in preventive custody.
