PV Sindhu’s Achievements So Far

India's pride ace shuttler PV Sindhu finally got the chance to call herself "World Champion". The 24-year-old Hyderabadi was in fine form as she clinched gold in the finals of 2019 Badminton World Championships.

She beat her opponent Nozomi Okuhara in straight games (21-7, 21-7) and went on to win her first-ever Gold medal of the tournament.

Wait, hold on! Not just this, the Hyderabadi also broke three other records along her way.

She is the first Indian to win a World Champions Gold. This is a feat no other Indian player has ever achieved. Although she has won silver and bronze, but with this she has a feather to your cap that no other Indian has ever donned.

Then again, PV Sindhu defeated the higher-ranked Nozomi Okuhara by the exact same scoreline with 21-7. With this, she recorded history again as she registered the biggest win in the Women’s Singles final since the twenty-one point game was introduced.

She got gold after four attempts, thereby becoming the joint-most successful shuttler in the competition’s history, along with Zhang Ning.

Now, Since her debut in 2011, let's trace the achievements that Sindhu achieved in the Badminton World Championships.

In 2013 and 2014 she clinched bronze medals, she slowly pushed her way to silver in 2017 and 2018. The aggressive shuttler did not stop and with patience, hardwork, and constant perseverance finally clinched a gold, a achievement that no other Indian shuttler have ever reached.
