Ongole: They drank death doled out by dad!
The young ones always waited eagerly for their dad to come home because he always brings fruit juice and lip-smacking snacks for him.
On Friday too, the four-year-old and his 18-month-old brother, were awake waiting for for those yummy goodies. But on that day, along with the snacks and juice came death - dark, cruel and cold. The drink was laced with poison!
Soon after innocently drinking the death at its lip-smacking best, the boy and his sibling - barely 18 months old, fell unconscious. Before they were taken to the hospital, life has gone out of them. This heart-wrenching incident occurred at the IV th Street of Gandhinagar in Ongole.
The killer father, identified as Chinnarikatla Venkatesh, works at a tea stall and had frequent quarrels with his wife. Marital discord proved ruinous for the two kids. Venkatesh allegedly decided to kill the kids and executed his plan on unsuspecting children.
The Fourth Street of Gandhi Nagar is a picture of gloom today what with the untimely and wholly unnecessary snuffing out of two budding lives.
The police, who rushed to the spot are investigating.
