Once denied entry, Swami Goud is likely to be Lord of Council now
TRS MLC K. Swamy Goud filed the nomination papers for the post of Chairman of Legislative Council on Tuesday.
Addressing the media after filing his nomination papers, Swamy Goud recalled that once he was denied permission to enter Assembly and stopped at the gate itself, but now he has got a chance to become a chairman of Legislative Council.
He urged all parties to support his candidature unanimously.
Praising Telangana CM KCR, Swamy Goud said that KCR has been striving for giving good posts to all those who were part of the Telangana movement.
He promised that he would work as a people's leader in the Legislative Council. TRS leaders Harish Rao, KTR, Etela Rajender and several MIM leaders accompanied Swamy Goud when he filed his papers.
The election is scheduled for Wednesday.
